Leadbelly nació de raza negra y al parecer fue un hombre cuyo carácter violento le llevo varias veces a visitar la cárcel (véase la wikipedia) donde pasó muchos años de su vida. El 1942 estaba libre y grabó este blues dedicado a Hitler, siendo especialmente significativa la acertada mención a los judíos.
Para una sociedad segregacionista como era la estadounidense en esa época, cuando menos en las formas, creo que es un letra que, saliendo de ambientes carcelarios, induce a pensar que toda la sociedad americana éstaba muy bien informada de lo que estaba ocurriendo en Europa con los judíos, ya en 1942.
De igual forma pareciese que Leadbelly conociera, o al menos imaginara, las diferencias con el sistema penal nazi, en base a su experiencia carcelaria.
Por cierto ¿alguien sabe que trato dió el nazismo a los negros alemanes? ¿hubo alguna Ley de Nuremberg que les regulara?
